Trip Itinerary
Welcome to the captivating world of Awesome Assam! Upon your arrival at the airport or railway station,
our representative will be there to greet and assist you. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable road
trip filled with lasting memories. Our first destination is Bhalukpong, renowned as an elephant reserve.
This area serves as an ideal habitat for a diverse range of wildlife, including the majestic tiger, elusive
leopard, graceful sambar, Asiatic wild dog (dhole), pygmy hog, Indian wild bison, and many more
fascinating creatures.
Nameri National Park, situated here, is a haven for bird enthusiasts, boasting over 300 species of birds.
Among them, the white-winged wood duck, great pied hornbill, wreathed hornbill, rufous-necked hornbill,
and black stork are just a few of the remarkable avian residents.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Take a leisurely nature walk to the Jia Bhoreli (Kameng River) and
back, immersing yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. In the evening, you're free to unwind and
indulge in leisure activities. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay at the hotel, nestled amidst the splendor of
nature.
Early in the morning, we have the option to participate in River Rafting on the Jia Bhoreli (Kameng River)
and/or Jungle Trekking. Following breakfast, we will proceed to Dirang. Along the way, we will make a
stop at the Orchid Research Centre in Tipi, an orchidarium housing approximately 10,000 orchid plants of
various genera and species. Arunachal Pradesh boasts the largest range of orchids in the country. As we
continue our drive, don't forget to have your cameras ready to capture the stunning waterfalls and
breathtaking views along the route. We will also visit Nag Mandir en route.
Upon arrival in Dirang, check in at your hotel. After lunch, we will explore the regional apple nursery, kiwi
farm, hot water spring, Sangti Valley, and Dzong Fort. You will spend the night in Dirang for an overnight
stay.
Following breakfast, we'll proceed to Tawang. Along the way, we'll stop to visit the War Cemetery. Our
journey will continue, leading us to the majestic Sela Pass, situated at an elevation of 4170 meters
(13700 feet). Renowned for its high altitude lakes and breathtaking scenery, the pass offers a picturesque
vista. Continuing our drive, we'll arrive at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, a tribute to the valiant Indian
soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat.
Later, we'll visit the enchanting Nuranang Falls, also known as Jang Falls. Upon reaching Tawang, we'll
check in to our hotel for an overnight stay, embracing the tranquility of this picturesque destination.
After breakfast, proceed to visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border), Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake), and
Pangateng Tso Lake (P.Tso Lake). Please note that you will need to obtain permits from the DC office at
Tawang on your own for the visit to Bum La Pass. Additionally, you will need to hire a local taxi in Tawang
on a direct payment basis to cover these places, as our vehicles are not permitted. In the evening, return
to Tawang for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast, we'll proceed to visit Tawang Monastery (Namgey Lhatse), Singsor Ani Gompa, and
Tawang War Memorial. In the evening, we'll return to our hotel for overnight accommodation in Tawang.
After breakfast, proceed to Bomdila. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Visit Bomdila Monastery and
Bomdila View Point, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan landscapes and snowclad ranges. In the evening, you may explore the local market. Overnight stay in Bomdila.
After breakfast, proceed to Kaziranga National Park, renowned as the habitat of the One-Horned Indian
Rhinoceros. Check in at your chosen accommodation, whether it be a hotel, lodge, or resort. In the
evening, you can explore Orchid Park and nearby Tea Plantations. Enjoy your overnight stay at Kaziranga
National Park.
In the early hours of the morning, we'll embark on a unique adventure, exploring Kaziranga National Park
atop majestic elephants. This sanctuary is not only home to the endangered One-Horned Indian
Rhinoceros but also shelters a significant portion of the world's genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes,
over 1000 Wild Elephants, and quite possibly the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers in any
habitat. Kaziranga National Park is a haven for bird enthusiasts, boasting a staggering 500 species of
birds. Among them, the Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla&rsquos Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle,
Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed Goose, Whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, various Storks, Herons, and
Pelicans grace the skies and waters.
After our morning expedition, we'll return to the resort for a hearty breakfast. In the afternoon, we'll set
out on a thrilling jeep safari, immersing ourselves further in the wilderness. As evening descends, we'll
return to the comfort of our hotel for a relaxing evening. Our overnight stay promises an unforgettable
experience amidst the natural wonders of Kaziranga National Park.
After enjoying breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Shillong, fondly known as the Scotland of the East.
Upon arrival, behold the stunning beauty of Umium Lake, also known as Barapani, where optional water
sports activities are available. Following this, proceed to check in at your hotel. In the evening, take the
opportunity to explore the vibrant atmosphere of Police Bazaar, renowned as the largest local market in
the area. Conclude your day with a comfortable overnight stay in Shillong.
Wake up early today to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong. After an early
breakfast, embark on a drive to Cherrapunji, renowned as the wettest place in the world. Explore various
attractions including the Garden of Caves, Eco Park (closed on Wednesdays), Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai
Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park (closed on
Wednesdays).
In the evening, return to Shillong and visit Elephanta Falls (closed on Sundays) and Shillong Peak (closed
on Wednesdays) to witness breathtaking views. Conclude the day with a comfortable overnight stay in
Shillong.
After breakfast, journey to Mawlynnong Village, recognized as the cleanest village in India. This charming
and vibrant village is celebrated for its immaculate surroundings. Located 90 kilometers from Shillong,
Mawlynnong offers various attractions such as the Living Root Bridge and a peculiar natural phenomenon
where a boulder balances on another rock. Next, proceed to Dawki, situated along the Indo-Bangladesh
border. Here, you can partake in boating activities in the crystal-clear waters of the Umgnot River. In the
evening, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we'll embark on a tour of Shillong, visiting the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures
(closed on Sundays), Wards Lake (closed on Tuesdays) for boating, the Cathedral Catholic Church, and
Lady Hydari Park (closed on Mondays). Following this, we'll proceed to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in at
the hotel. Later, we'll visit the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, showcasing Assamese history and
culture, and the Assam Film Museum to delve into the history of Assamese cinema.
We'll then head to the GTAC Tea Lounge to savor the finest Assam Tea varieties. Next, we'll explore the
Mahabahu Brahmaputra River Heritage Center and the newly opened Park at Brahmaputra Riverfront. In
the evening, you can opt for a River Cruise (direct payment) on the mighty River Brahmaputra or explore
the local market. Guwahati is renowned for its Assam Silk, particularly Golden Muga Silk, Assam Tea, and
Bamboo and Cane Products. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
After breakfast, we'll check out from the hotel. If time permits, we can embark on a tour of the Kamakhya
Temple and other temples in Guwahati, including the Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Sukreswar
Temple, Navagraha Temple, Umananda Temple on Peacock Island, which is the smallest inhabited river
island in the world. Additionally, we can explore the Assam State Museum, Dighali Pukhuri (Lake), State
Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Planetarium, and the Assam State Emporiums. With cherished memories,
we'll proceed to Guwahati airport/railway station for our onward journey.

Notes on Transportation Used in Our Package.
Vehicles used are exclusively at the disposal of the guest for the entire tour for 12 Hours every day There is no change in the vehicle during the entire tour Our drivers are very well trained with the entire region and would ensure that they take the guest to all the places mentioned in the itinerary Maximum guests allowed in Innova is 6 including children above 4 years. If the no of guest is more than 6 then they will have to take 1 more vehicle at an extra cost If there are 5 or more guests then they are advised to travel with very minimum baggage In case if the number of baggage is more than normal then the guest will have to take 1 more vehicle at an extra cost. Incase the Guest is travelling with extra Bags they may have to take a extra car for the same at additional cost payable on spot.
Notes on Tempo Travellers
Tempo Travellers which are available in North East are not modified and are basic A/C vehicles that come directly from the dealer. It is noted that these vehicles may not be as well-equipped with Maharaja Seats, Individual AC, Arm Rest Etc as those found in other states like Rajasthan, Delhi, Kerala, etc. The A/c of the vehicle will not work on hills further the Ac are not as effective as a Sedan or Toyota Vehicle.
Additionally, the average age of the vehicles is between 3 to 5 years, and they do not have roof carriers.In terms of luggage, due to space constraints, only one piece of luggage per person is allowed. If a guest is traveling with additional luggage, they may need to arrange for an extra vehicle on the spot at an additional cost. Its important to highlight that once the tour begins, the vehicle will not be replaced for any reason.

For Guests travelling to Kaziranga National Park.
Kaziranga National Park has 4 different ranges for safari. They are the Central or the Kohora Range, Western or the Bagori range, Eastern or the Agratoli range and the Burapahar or Ghorakati range. We provide 1 Elephant Safari and 1 Jeep Safari in all our packages. However if the guest wishes to explore the other ranges also then the same can be arranged at an extra cost. Timings for Elephant Safari are mornings 5.15 AM to 6.15 AM and 6.15 AM to 7.15 AM. Timings for Jeep Safari are mornings 7.30 AM to 9.30 AM. Afternoon 2 PM to 4 PM.
Important notes on hotels in Arunachal Pradesh.
The best hotels may also have the most basic amenities Extra Beds are not provided in any hotel instead Mattress and Roll Over&rsquos are provided for extra person in a room There are no lifts in any of the hotels. The guests may have to climb 3 floors to reach their room The hotels do not have electricity backup or little backup. In case of power failure one has to adjust with candle lights Water scarcity prevails in almost in all hotels. Mostly the guests get buckets of Hot & Cold water on fixed basis The staffs of the hotels are not professionally trained in hospitality so please expect very basic services from them Fooding is not a problem in the entire region. You can get fresh home style cooked food almost in all the hotels by the local people and not professional Chefs. In case of extreme cold weather room heaters or hot water bags can be taken from the hotel on direct payment

Cherrapunji is a small but extremely popular town in Meghalaya. Please be informed that most of the Hotels here are very basic with very basic amenities. The quality of rooms may not be at par in comparison to other developed tourist places. Please note we try and give you the best suggestions for the available hotels and we will in no way be responsible for the quality and maintenance of the rooms and the hotels.
